The Key to the Lesson

Some of us always have our spiritual antenna up to ensure we do not miss any energetic messages or signals that are meant for us. You know how the universe is always presenting lessons in a multitude of forms. It could be a movie, a conversation, a post, dream, or even a feeling. Now don't get me wrong, I innerstand there is no limit to the ways the universe presents lessons/information to us, I just listed a few.

I would like to share with you one of the ways the universe presented me with a valuable lesson just the other day. Due to a weather incident I was forced to leave my apartment and stay at a alternate location. The first few days there, I wrestled with something as simple as opening the door with the key provided. It appeared the key was off a little bit so I had to juggle, push, pull and move the key all directions to get it to unlock the door. If I had to use the bathroom this could have been catastrophic, luckily I didn't!

It was on about the third day of this me versus the key wrestling match that I suddenly had the idea to insert the key gently and slowly, softly turning it, and I did just that. To my surprise the lock cooperated rolling over easily and smoothly and the door unlocked. Success! What this little battle between me and the key and lock showed me was that sometime when we try too hard, using maximum effort, we are actually working against ourselves.

I keep this lesson/experience at the forefront of my mind and refer back to it whenever I find myself resisting the present situation. Realizing that calm, soothing thoughts and actions produce higher more serene energy, and the type of results that come with those thoughts and actions. This was such a simple matter, one may not see the lesson embedded within it. I suspect the universe has many ways of delivering its lessons/messages and is always presenting them to us. The question is are to receiving them?
